Description
Our Greenland snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio) is caught by small fishing boats, using the traditional method of crab pots, before being processed into sections in a snow crab factory located in Nuuk, Greenland. The fisherman freezes the snow crab sections in brine and grades them into various sizes. This crab lives in the water depths. They can be found in areas 20 meters down or more than 300 meters!
Cooked snow crab is a very versatile product. It is popular to eat just as it comes, perhaps with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of mayonnaise but is also well-suited for salads, soups, and many other dishes. The taste is mild and very delicate.
